Continuing also Trump’s “America First” policy, Vance condemned the U. S. governmental strategy in foreign policy and suggested a possible shift in the support of Ukraine. He also applauded the polarizing policies of Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and stated that the United States should take note of his strategies in trying to purge university establishments of leftist ideologies.
Vance gave the speech at a politically charged week following the heels of a call for President Biden to step down from the Democratic nomination and an assassination attempt on Trump.
